Nikki + Nic | Americus, GA Wedding | Lee Council House
This is a wedding that's particularly dear to my heart because I got to go to my hometown: Americus, GA. It's exactly what you would imagine and desire in a small town - one where you can walk into Wal-Mart and run into your Pre-school teacher, best friend, and softball coach all at the same time. Americus is a known for it's quaint, historic downtown and friendly faces. This wedding was no exception.
Nikki and Nic had a day full of laughter with friends and family by their side. These two are clearly surrounded with support and joy - enjoy :)
On a wedding day, there's a lot going on behind the scenes - telling various family and wedding party members where to go, staying on schedule, coordinating with vendors, etc. - which is usually the job of an experienced wedding planner. But Nikki did this whole day herself! I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly the day went and how organized a bride can be while also having the nerves of going through her wedding day.
Nikki did an amazing job. One of my favorite things she asked for was that her and Nic pray together before the ceremony. But they both really wanted to make sure they didn't see each other before the wedding - this was so fun!
One of my favorite things about weddings is getting to be a part of the family fun. Whether the family lives near each other or not, on the wedding day, everyone comes together and celebrates memories and the memories to come.
Nikki and Nic clearly have family who deeply love them. It was such an honor to get to be a part of a day where so much love and encouragement was poured out. (Plus it makes for really fun photos)
